Framing: Day 14

The framing crew focused their attention on two things today:  buttoning up the roof overhangs and installing the wood decking on the great room ceiling.
All of the hard work it took to stain all of this lumber over the last two weeks was well worth it. We are very pleased with the result!  Scott chose a slightly lighter stain for the boards to offer a nice contrast to the trusses.

The underside of the roof overhang is being enclosed with bead board to match the existing house.
Nothing much new happened on the second floor except for the installation of some temporary railings.  The crew did a good job of sweeping the floors and picking up all of the lumber scraps...a couple of signs that their work at noTTafarm is nearly complete!
Stay Tuned for Our Next Adventure!

  1. The wood ceiling and exposed trusses look amazing! I can't wait until our next visit to see it all in person.

  2. Looks great- those beams and trusses look like the inside of my hay barn - I wish I had that same look inside my house!!!
