Do you ever have months where not much gets accomplished? Or when you do something half-way interesting, you don't take photos? Well, that's the pickle I find myself in this evening. Here it is, the month half gone, and I'm feeling guilty about the quiet blog. The only solution is to select and share a few of the 26 photos I've bothered to take this month.
Checking on the garden is a fun adventure!
On the 4th of July, Scott's folks came over for dinner and we harvested our first three cherry tomatoes. They were so yummy; as Scott likes to say, "they taste like sunshine."
Handing a cherry tomato off to Mama Marita
By July 4th, Carl's radishes were plump and ready for pickin'.
This past Saturday, we harvested our first green beans!
They are super yummy . . .but our crazy ornamental gourds are starting to push into their space. We'll have to keep a close eye out to ensure that the beans don't get completely taken over.
The tomatoes continue to turn red . . . just like we planned.
I enjoyed a B.L.T. for dinner, made ever so delicious with the use of a "real" tomato and a chopped up basil leaf.
"Security: there's a stranger in my garden!"
Oh, wait . . . it's just my little brother, Tim. He and Teresa were in town for the weekend from their new home in Sioux Falls. We had a nice visit this past Saturday while Teresa caught up on some work. Visit again soon, Timmy!
On Wednesday, July 13th, we hosted a Camp family gathering to celebrate Andrew's 24th birthday. Our nephew is home for a month from his teaching post in Blytheville, Arkansas. It was great to spend the evening catching up with his busy life! But, of course, no photos.
Happy Birthday, Andrew!
Stay Tuned for Our Next Adventure!
(I promise: we'll get busy.)
